Driving Directions & Map

Driving Directions via 270 North

From Interstate 270 exit at Lindbergh North and continue to Washington. Turn right onto Washington to St. Charles St. Turn left on St. Charles and continue one block - the entrance to the Shrine will be on your left.

Driving Directions via 170 North

From Interstate 170 go north to Hanley Road. Hanley road becomes Graham and then St. Ferdinand. Stay on this street until you reach rue St. Francois. Turn left and follow this to the entrance of the Shrine.

  • Book Fair – Books $4 per bag – 9am - 4:00 pm
  • Visit from Mark Twain – 11:00 am
  • Storyteller – 2:oo pm
  • Food & Drink   including coffee and doughnuts in the morning 10am - 4pm
  • Tours of the Shrine 10am - 4pm
  • Games throughout the day

Grand Opening of the Book Fair & Educational Center

These pictures show an overview of the second floor of the schoolhouse.  The Book Fair is in the first section and the Educational Center in the second section. 

The area is open every Saturday morning from 9am-Noon.

We also have all the records from St. Ferdinand Parish from 1789-1955.  If you had relatives in this area you might find information about them on our archives.  Come and do your research.  The Educational Center also has information on Lewis & Clark, the City of Florissant, the Shrine History and Native Americans.

Limited Handicapped Access

The Church, the Rectory and the Convent are first floor handicapped accessible. The second and third floors are not.

Lunch is available at the Shrine for Group Tours.
